OLIMPOS
A prominent Lycian city by 2nd cc. B.C., it passed under Roman rule by the 2nd cc. A.D. with the decline of the Lycian cities. Its importance declined through the centuries afterwards and upon Turkish invasion it was completely abandoned. Today, Olimpos is a very beautiful destination located between winding mountains. There is no permission for buildings in the area. There are a couple of establishments offering lodging in tree-houses among the pine trees - completely free of modern life intrusions.
